Talent Emerging Coordinator

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Emerging Talent Coordinator, are to: 

  • Lead the planning and logistics of programming for all recruiting, onboarding and special events associated with intern and co-op program including but not limited to: diversity student summit, new hire orientation, tours, and professional development series, networking events, poster session and evaluations;
  • Provide assessment of each programs quality;
  • Manages administration for the recruitment events system, which are used to maintain inventory and facilitate timely and accurate communications with internal participants.  Additionally, this role will oversee vendor invoicing and reconciliation, make travel arrangements as needed and maintain electronic files as needed;
  • Take responsibility for special projects as assigned, maintain a high degree of confidentiality and use of experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
  • Support Emerging Talent updates to key internal stakeholders; schedule meetings, draft meeting agendas, develop PowerPoint presentations, and capture / execute required action items;
  • Manage frequent communications, interactions and schedule meetings with external vendors, internal and external organizations, partners and other stakeholders;
  • Engage with recruiting logistics vendors for planning and registration of campus and student organization sponsored events; work closely with team leads on budget, budget reconciliation, and tracking of deviations;
  • Create templates for communications (i.e. newsletters and e-mails); utilizing standard   communication templates develop; and edit communications to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of activities within the Emerging Talent organization.

Required Qualifications:


  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience in university relations, talent acquisition, career services, project/program management;
  • Passion for the talent acquisition function with a focus on diversity;
  • Formal event management or meeting planning experience is preferred;
  • Proficiency with SAP for performing administrative duties is preferred;
  • High level of ability within Outlook including experience in building templates and adding to and maintaining a communication library is required;
  • Proficiency in Excel, which must include the ability to create pivot tables, macros, and charts;
  • Word and PowerPoint skills are also required;
  • Works well under pressure, effective prioritization to meet deadlines, demonstrated agility to handle unexpected events at work and maintain a positive attitude;
  • Effectively interacts with others at all levels;
  • Self-started with strong customer orientation skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural organization.
