Talent Acquisition Lead Pharmaceutical

Your tasks and responsibilities

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Talent Acquisition Lead Pharmaceutical, are to: 

 

  • Demonstrate Business Strategy & Client Focus:
    • Identify how changes in the business strategy will impact the recruiting needs to best support the business;
    • Provide HR Business Partners and Business Leaders with advice and council on establishing the best selection process in terms of the business strategy;
    • Foster strong working relationships with internal business leaders and HR Business Partners to anticipate, understand and address talent acquisition requirements and priorities;
    • Partner with the Emerging Talent Leader in order to pipeline for future talent.
  • Demonstrate Business Acumen:
    • Have a deep understanding of the strategic business priorities and how the organization can achieve their goals by the implementing recruiting strategies;
    • Ensure your recruiters are aligned to the business, know the business & the strategy of the organization so they can recruit top talent for today and the future of Bayer.
  • Demonstrate People Management:
    • Drive a high performing organization of recruiting professionals;
    • Coach, define and monitor performance goals, create development plans while providing real-time feedback on career development;
    • Monitor and analyze recruiter workload allocation while ensuring effective service delivery and balanced workloads between recruiters on the team; provide direction for prioritizing the requisition load based on profound understanding of Bayer’s talent segmentation and labor market realities;
    • Engage and manage contractors as needed to complement staffing in periods of high demand;
    • Ensure proper training of the team, clarity on roles, responsibilities and processes.
  • Ensure Candidate Experience:
    • Deliver a positive, consistent candidate experience through all Talent Acquisition touch points to enhance Bayer's Employer Brand (in interaction with the Global / Country TA SMEs as well as the Local Recruiting Heads).
  • Reporting & Operations:
  • Partner with HR Operations to ensure effective and efficient delivery to our internal clients and candidates;
  • Monitor operational KPIs, identify root causes and implement appropriate measures for improvement if KPIs are not met that you can provide to the business;
  • Meet Recruiting Time to Fill goals, Cost per hire and ensure your team is 100% compliant;
  • Ensure that TA tools, processes and systems are operated in line with governmental and legal requirements;
  • Partner with Recruiting Administration Team on technology, processes and tools to achieve operational excellence;
  • Continue to innovate on the TA strategy by collecting and sharing feedback from Recruiting team and customers on TA tools and processes (e.g. social media, company website, job boards, employee referrals, recruiting tools, onboarding process) to drive continuous improvement;
  • Serve as an escalation point and coordinate, balance and resolve operational challenges;
  • Align with other Talent Acquisition Leads as well as the Local Recruiting Head to ensure a smooth interplay with the Country Talent Acquisition Subject-matter Expert;
  • Ensure the execution of Talent Acquisition strategy, processes and application of policies within the team in alignment with the Global Talent Acquisition framework.

     

Who you are

 

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values.  More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Talent Acquisition working experience of ten or more years with a B.A./B.S. in Corporate Recruiting or six plus years’ of experience with a Masters in Human Resources in the Talent Acquisition space managing a recruiting team;
  • At least four of the required years  of experience  managing an in-house recruiting team within a Pharmaceutical/Biotech company;
  • At least four years’ of prior experience recruiting all level of talent across various functions with a blend of Corporate in house Recruiting or a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) supporting a client;
  • Ensure compliance within Bayer’s policies, processes and practices by maintaining current knowledge of federal, state and local employment practices and labor laws, assess team for compliance;
  • At least four years providing clients with strategic recruiting plans in order to support the needs of their business;
  • Lead strategic Talent Acquisition initiatives across the Pharmaceutical organization;
  • Bayer Leadership Skills minimum proficiency level “developing-strong”: Business Insight, Strategic Mindset, Cultivates Innovation, Manages Ambiguity, Build Effective Teams, Courage, Drives Vision & Purpose, Attracts & Develops Talents.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Lead strategic Talent Acquisition initiatives across the Pharmaceutical organization;
  • Develop comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with the business strategy;
  • Design, develop and implement standard reporting and metrics while providing strategic recruiting updates to their Client in partnership with HRBPs’; 
  • Very good business acumen;
  • Understands the sense of urgency;
  • Very good understanding of defined target groups and high labor market expertise;
  • Very good knowledge of recruiting and TA Marketing strategies;
  • Excellent knowledge of comprehensive knowledge of local legal regulations regarding recruiting.
