Site Electrical Engineer

Your tasks and responsibilities

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Site Electrical Engineer, are to: 

 

  • Manage the maintenance activities related to inspection, repairs, and larger/complex turn-around of electrical assets including site generators UPS systems and electrical panel ; initiates, monitors, and tracks work orders;
  • Plan, execute, and monitor multiple basic budget/and multiple larger investments; participate in the planning and execution of major investments in her/his area of responsibility;
  • Identify and evaluate deficiencies and bottlenecks and develop technical concepts for their resolution;
  • Conduct troubleshooting of asset and process problems;
  • Observe technical rules and regulations and implements technical good practices;
  • Keep and update the technical documentation and records;
  • Coordinate the internal and external service providers;
  • Execution of smaller projects from planning to start-up for the electrical assets on site.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. degree in Electrical  Engineering or related discipline;
  • B.S. degree and six or more years of experience;
  • M.S. degree and two or more years of experience;
  • Experience with low voltage electrical systems;
  • Experience with FAT, SAT, Commissioning and Qualification, including hands on experience starting-up and running new equipment, resolving technical equipment issues, developing turn-over packages;
  • Understanding of industry guidelines, regulatory requirements, and relevant SOPs;
  • Proficient computer skills to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SAP experience helpful;
  • High level of urgency and is able quickly adapt to changing priorities;
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex equipment / systems and supporting utility services;
  • Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a diverse wide customer base;
  • Flexibility to support business requirement of rotational on-call support and / or weekend;
  • Experience with maintenance and reliability of electrical equipment;
  • Project experience management is a plus;
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
