Reliability Systems Engineer

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Reliability Systems Engineer, are to: 


  • Work with the Corporate M & R DMT Lead to develop the global strategic roadmap for M & R DMT to support the business work process needs of plant manufacturing production, maintenance, and reliability teams;
  • Support new software, enhancement, and upgrade implementations as follows for M & R DMT including, but not limited to SAP PM, Prometheus, Meridium, and Emerson AMS;
  • Gather business requirements and develop and/or identify solutions;
  • Perform front end configuration and end user testing;
  • Develop and administer end user training;
  • Manage plant implementation and adoption;
  • Provide Plant Level 0/Level 1 daily service as follows for M & R DMT including, but not limited to SAP PM, Prometheus, Meridium, and Emerson AMS;
  • Determine and administer appropriate security access for end users;
  • Manage master data administer new employee training;
  • Elevate service issues, as necessary, to the next level;
  • Provide testing of software updates to ensure integrity;
  • Assist plant manufacturing production, maintenance, and reliability teams with data analytics and reporting necessary to maintain and improve daily plant manufacturing performance. This includes, but is not limited to data analytics and reports associated with RCFA, Asset Health, Asset Downtime, Total Costs of Assets, PM/Pdm Strategy;
  • Effectiveness, Spare Parts Optimization, Work Management Effectiveness, and Mean Time Between Failure;
  • Provide internal plant general consultation services on Digital Manufacturing Technology that directly supports the following: Maintenance and Reliability work practices and their applicability to fixed and rotating assets: World Class Maintenance, LEAN Asset Care, Risk Based Inspection, Criticality Analysis, FMEA, PM/Pdm, RAM, and RCFA;
  • Lead efforts to integrate data between existing systems;
  • Prioritize opportunities/problems based on organizational impact and fit with key objectives;
  • Support development and improvement through participation on plant and corporate initiatives and committees (includes Six Sigma / LEAN).

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, computer science or a technical field;
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience;
  • Strong knowledge and experience with M & R work practices listed above in key tasks;
  • Strong working and technical knowledge and experience with Emerson AMS (Device Manager, Machinery Health Manager, and Performance Monitor);
  • Strong working and technical knowledge and experience with Meridium (Foundation, Mechanical Integrity, Health, Strategy, and Failure Elimination);
  • Strong working and technical knowledge and experience with SAP PM;
  • Strong working and technical knowledge of Prometheus ERP Advanced and Prometheus Mobile;
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with MS Office;
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
