Reliability Engineering Intern

Your tasks and responsibilities


The primary responsibilities of this role, Intern, are to: 


  • Analyze data and equipment failures using statistical analysis tools (i.e. Weibull Analysis) to assess current instrument calibration program and identify areas for potential improvements;
  • Propose and justify changes to calibration program to effectively utilize maintenance resources;
  • Perform asset obsolescence analysis to ensure uptime of production and utility equipment;
  • Utilize management of change processes to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and engineering requirements regarding equipment and maintenance program improvements;
  • Work with Reliability Engineers to support mechanical integrity, preventative, and predictive maintenance programs.

Required Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in sophomore year or higher pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering ;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to deal professionally with internal customers, with both technical and non-technical backgrounds, of various organizational levels;
  • Ability to work effectively within a departmental team and with members of the same or higher organizational levels;
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities together with a professional image;
  • Good organization, documentation, prioritization and scheduling skills together with an overall desire to learn;
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task;
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel and Minitab;
  • Demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought.
