Production Line- Process Leader

Your tasks and responsibilities


The primary responsibilities of this role, Process Leader, are to: 


  • Model high standards of conduct and leadership;
  • Be responsible and accountable for efficient organization of operating teams to achieve daily shift goals;
  • Track and analyze safety, quality, productivity and other scorecard objective data within their processes and develop and react to trends;
  • Provide leadership and development to team members in coordination with the appropriate support functions to identify and resolve safety and quality issues, to reduce waste and increase process efficiencies;
  • Ensure accuracy of quality, shift and production records and data entry;
  • Train and/or direct the efforts of Ops or team trainers to ensure team members effectively perform job duties;
  • Participate in the development and execution of team improvement plans to achieve higher levels of operational excellence and performance;
  • Provide day to day feedback, both recognition and opportunities for improvement to team members on their performance;
  • Assist in the process of implementing corrective actions, including recommended disciplinary actions, in order to resolve individual team member performance issues;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, other Process Leads, Production Supervisors, Production Manager, Production Planners and Quality, Engineering and Maintenance support personnel;
  • Track attendance and approve PTO as well as compile and review payroll for team members;
  • Provide input into performance appraisals, including administration at the direction of management;
  • Maintains all training records for team members.

Required Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Three years of relevant experience (medical device assembly, mechanical assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, etc.) including one year of leadership experience, quality control experience, production planning or inventory control;
  • Proven sound judgment, continuous improvement, and customer focus;
  • Demonstrated adaptability and teamwork skills;
  • Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills;
  • Strong communication skills: effectively conveys problems, opportunities and results within an across departments.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associate’s degree.
