Medical Advisor Region LATAM Eylea

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Medical Advisor Region Latin America Eylea are to: 

 

  • Support approval of wAMD (wetAge Dependent Macular Degeneration) and other indications in Latin America;
  • After approval, lead and coordinate internal medical teams to plan activities and communication strategies aimed to consolidate Eylea for the treatment of neo-vascular retinal diseases;
  • Support activities to enhance awareness of retinal neovascular diseases among physicians, medical societies and general population in order to increase the diagnosis and opportune treatment of neovascular retinal diseases;
  • Represent Latin American countries in the Eylea MCT (Medical Core Team) and other medical meetings;
  • Promote and coordinate the participation of Latin American countries in global trials;
  • Support initiatives in the countries to perform Latin American Non-interventional Studies (NIS) and IIR (Invested Initiated Research);
  • Make sure internal teams are trained and certified while considering business needs;
  • Review all internal scientific documents related to Eylea, such as publications, promotional materials, press releases, monographs, internet contents, CCDS (Core Company Data Sheet), as well as medical input to internal linked departments with key activities for the business;
  • Provide ethical, reliable medical information requested by internal or external parts;
  • Design of medical content for regional scientific events;
  • Ensure that planned activities are in line with the needs and expectations of retina doctors and their patients, considering business needs within the framework of compliance standards;
  • Lead activities with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) for regional events;
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating consistent ethical and professional behavior;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external policies.

Who you are

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values.  More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Medical Doctor with training in Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics or Immunology;
  • Fluent in Spanish and English;
  • Four to five (4-5) years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry and at least three (3) years involved in regional activities coordinating work teams.
