Deputy Director Channel Marketing, IDN & Government

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Deputy Director Channel Marketing Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) & Government, are to: 


  • Develop IDNs and Government strategy including customer engagement planning for the Bayer Pharma product portfolio;
  • Identify key customer segments within the IDN and Government and identifies high-level customer needs to inform Bayer product value proposition development;
  • Identify impact and implications of IDN and Government t trends on the relevant products within the Bayer portfolio including risks and
  • mitigation strategies;
  • Communicate IDN and Government channel strategies and provide channel expertise to inform contract strategy and brand planning across the portfolio;
  • Leverage customer insights from the field and supplements with external (e.g., third party) information and data to develop deep channel expertise;
  • Collaborate with Account Management to prioritize insights and questions to be gathered and answered as Brand/Portfolio lifecycles evolve;
  • Synthesize complex channel insights into actionable information;
  • Leads the channel marketing efforts to inform Brand planning from a Market Access channel expertise perspective, including the Account Management Plans of Action (POAs) as needed;
  • Act as a key liaison to the Brand and Contracting Strategy Market Access personnel;
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships at the executive level and across business functions, as well as with external business partners;
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and senior leaders across the business;
  • Model collaboration across the organization, balancing own interests with others’;
  • Facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders;
  • Promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals;
  • Anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond customer expectations;
  • Use customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings;
  • Serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts;

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ related work experience in pharma, biotech, or healthcare industry OR Masters’ degree with at least 7 years’ related work experience OR Pharm.D. with at least 7  years related experience;
  • Experience with data collection, competitive intelligence, market research and translating it into actionable insights and strategy;
  • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare regulatory environment;
  • At least 2 years managed care experience;

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Pharma/biotech/healthcare industry marketing experience.
