Associate Director Mergers and Acquisitions

Your tasks and responsibilities

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Mergers and Acquisitions, are to: 

 

  • Creating, developing and analyzing financial models;
  • Developing scenarios (sensitivity analyses);
  • Organizing and preparing presentations;
  • Conducting research, as well as guiding others;
  • Participating in and conducting due diligence sessions;
  • Independently managing small transaction processes and supporting medium to large transactions;
  • Participate in discussions and contribute to client solutions;
  • Support and contribute to client (division) communication;
  • General knowledge of Bayer industries and from an Mergers & Acquisitions perspective;
  • Supporting the creation of Mergers & Acquisitions solutions / assisting in structuring Transactions;
  • Support and prepare presentations to Division-Heads/Board Members;
  • Manage project aspects of VS 1.2 and 1.3 personnel, if relevant;
  • Negotiation of small sized contracts, including ancillary agreements, as well as reparation of negotiations;
  • Support the integration of Monsanto employees into the Mergers; Acquisitions & Licensing team;
  • Support knowledge transfer in both directions (Bayer/Monsanto);
  • Support cultural integration of Monsanto employees with respect to LIFE Values.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in natural sciences and/or economics / business Administration;
  • Min of 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions or Corporate Finance Advisory, or related experience;
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Process & Valuation experience;
  • Strong financial modelling skills;
  • Robust financial and analytical skill set;
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • MBA or equivalent post graduate degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Fluent in English, skills in other languages would be a plus;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Solid work ethic and motivation level.
