Associate Brand Manager - Claritin

Your tasks and responsibilities


An Associate Brand Manager supports the Senior Brand Manager in efforts to achieve the short and long term objectives for the brand with particular focus on assigned segment. This is accomplished through the development and execution of marketing plans, business management analysis and input on the strategic direction of the brand


       The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Brand Manager, are to:


  • Support the Senior Brand Manager by leading the development and execution of marketing plans that will enable the brand to set and execute a plan to meet its volume targets, share targets and overall business objectives;
  • Analyze the business and competitive environment on a continual basis, using strong data and sound judgment to make recommendations to the brand team for ways to better meet short and long-term business goals;
  • Lead cross-functional teams needed to achieve key brand initiatives. This will involve defining the objectives for the initiatives and managing the team, timelines and resources needed;
  • Assist in the development of market research projects by identifying information gaps and working with the Sr. Brand Manager and MRD manager to recommend and execute plans to fill the information voids;
  • Work with the consumer promotion department to set strategy and determine objectives for consumer promotion. Manage consumer promotion team to achieve on-time production and execution of key tactics;
  • Lead HCP marketing by strongly influencing objective and activation development with Sr. Brand Manager & relevant agency partners. Spearhead associated advertising development process;
  • Partner with sales strategy and determine appropriate objectives and initiatives to best achieve brand imperatives in the retail environment;
  • Gain a strong understanding of the medical, regulatory, legal and manufacturing environments for the brand as they relate to key brand initiatives. Build relationships with key contacts in each of these areas;
  • Assist in the management and development of the brand's P&L, providing input on recommendations for financial planning to achieve financial objectives;
  • Assist Senior Brand Manager with advertising development process, including development of creative briefs and advertising strategy through production;
  • Supports the strategic brand plans that not only deliver on annual and longer term financial objectives, but also protect brand equity and enhance brand health.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of work experience in similar role/function within the CPG/HealthCare environment
  • Sound knowledge of all principal areas of marketing;
  • Strong Interpersonal skills;
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal with emphasis on presentation skills);
  • Self-management and self-awareness;
  • Critical Thinking skills (ability to access or analyze a situation and derive optimal path for action);

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree highly preferred with at least 1 year of work experience in similar role/function within the CPG/HealthCare environment.
