Work Life Programs

As an employee, you will receive six pre-scheduled holidays, five company discretionary days (typically between Christmas and New Years, depending on your site), in addition to four discretionary holidays available for use whenever desired throughout the year.
You will also receive competitive vacation benefits based on your length of continuous service, enabling you to take time off from work to rejuvenate, revitalize and recharge.
We support our employees who make a personal commitment to improving the quality of life in their communities through their volunteer activities with charitable organizations by providing regular full-time and regular part-time employees with paid time off.
When needed, you can work with your management team to explore our flexible work options to determine if one will meet both your work and personal responsibilities.
For example, you may be able to alter the start and end time of your work schedule, work from home or work a part-time schedule.
If you or a dependent family member have a situation that requires legal or personal advice, our employee assistance program provides access to professional help for many situations.
If needed, you may take a temporary personal leave, which includes Family and Medical Leave and other leaves in accordance with state and federal laws.
We offer supplemental parental leave for employees to help nurture and bond with your new born, adopted, or placed child. The leave provides four weeks of paid parental leave and one week unpaid for a total of five weeks. Leave can be taken over three unique periods of weeks.
At some sites, you will have on-campus conveniences such as a Bayer Store with over-the-counter products available at subsidized costs, an employee cafeteria, medical facility and wellness programs.
