Reg Acct Associate Director Health Plans PBMS East- New England
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Reg Acct Assoc Dir Health Plans & PBMS (territory EAST - Boston MA- Maine, Vermont) residence based are to:
- Execute Customer Strategy and Regional Business expertise;
- Deliver and maintain profitable access, advantageous policy, and appropriate reimbursement for Bayer products at Regional customer accounts through commercialization of launch products and life cycle management of portfolio;
- Create innovative business opportunities to drive profitable short and long term customer partnerships
- Deep insight into customer enterprise, policy, benefit, clinical evaluation, and legislation impact to the customer and the regional market;
- Ownership of the customer organization and Regional market;
- Accountable to drive outcomes and flawless execution of developed plan;
- Ability to navigate deep into the payer/PBM, manage executive engagements, foster customer touch points within Pharmacy, Medical, policy, and reimbursement;
- Drive payer access across regional Payers through alignment of National PBM wins;
- Develop deep enduring relationships developed with Key Regional Executive customers;
- Internal Collaborating, Coordinating and Alignment Resource Management: effective use of Medical/HEOR, Brand Teams and BUs, to optimize customer opportunities;
- Serve as customer resource through knowledge of Bayer relevant therapeutic areas and market trends that are current, intensive data analytics for category performance, and field level KOL knowledge of product real world use and trending treatment algorithms for best in class account resource;
- Identify and monitor new or evolving market dynamics and impact to customer systems and provide input internally for prioritizing coverage for optimal access;
- Act as the regional point and manage strategy across the organization through coordination and alignment of KAM’s, FRM’s, FSD’s, RSM’s, and HIS RD’s while working with payer marketing, channel leads, and contracting;
- Ability to remove silos within Bayer to accomplish customer strat;
- Securing access and delivering profitable outcomes,
- Meet departmental and brand expectations inclusive of stretch goals through appropriate resource management, strategic innovative thinking;
- Drive innovation through novel and best in class approaches;
- Understands the long-term impact based on market dynamics now and in the future, and facilitates strategy, and plan implementation to produce long term profitable access while meeting short term key brand performance metrics;
- Value creation for accounts identifying gaps, trends, opportunities for credibility.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Ten years in related work experience in management roles in the pharmaceutical industry;
- Three years in managing markets experience;
- Three years experience in a supervisory role, or position leading a team or teams through influence;
- Has in depth understanding of how Payer and PBM businesses operate and generate revenue nationally and within the market;
- Idebtify future policies, practices and trends with Payers and PBM’s and with competition in the marketplace;
- Consistently applies a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions with Payers and PBM’s and cross functionally within Bayer;
- Strategic Mindset and able to see the big picture, constantly imagines future scenarios, and creates strategies to sustain competitive advantage for Bayer products;
- Visionary with Payers and PBM’s and able to articulate credible scenarios and visions of possibilities with clear actionable plans;
- Formulate a clear strategy and maps aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization toward meeting it’s strategic goals;
- Ability to collaborate with regional Payers to strategically apply business practices and aligned strategies that will enable both organizations to meet business objectives;
- Cultivate innovation (Regional Market customer and stakeholders);
- Move beyond the traditional ways of doing things; pushes the status quo;
- Continually assess the market potential of innovative ideas and solutions, and builds strong business cases for the customer and Bayer to support the initiative;

- Use customer insights to drive and guide development of customer centric solutions, ability to translate and integrate into Bayer strategic initiatives;
- Serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable long-lasting relationships with the regional Payer and PBM;
- Deliver value for Bayer brands, pull through formulary access for national PBM’s;
- Collaborate (Regional Market stakeholders FRM, KAM, FSD, RSM, Payer);
- Model collaboration across Bayer and the customer with indirect leadership;
- Facilitate dialogue and strategy of a wide variety of stakeholders;
- Promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals;
- Align stakeholders for common strategy, gains buy in, sets clear goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in Business Administration;
- Business insight experience executing market access strategies for PBM and Payer accounts, and exposure to contract development and negotiations for same;
- Drive results;
- Tackle tough assignments finds solutions with vigor;
- Promote a sense of urgency, establishing and upholding individual accountability, producing profitable outcomes;
- Always keeps the end in sight; puts in extra effort to meet deadlines and persists in the face of challenges and setbacks;
- Manage complexity and make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems;
- Accurately analyze situations, asks the right questions;
- Evaluate pros and cons, risks and benefits of different solutions;
- Cross functionally manages opportunities, diverse teams, and unique market events without direct leadership responsibility.
