Maintenance & Facilities Manager

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Faci & Maintenance Project Manager, are to:

• Collaborate with Operations and Site leadership to develop project concepts;
• Drive projects to support business targets and proactively identifies potential issues that prevents the site/area from meeting these objectives;
• Be responsible for having an understanding of farm equipment and the ability to troubleshoot tractor and devise and implement solutions to problems Engineer requested changes to equipment;
• Have the ability to fabricate with steel, aluminum, or stainless to accomplish needed changes;
• Weld the above metals with stick, tig, and mig welders;
• Have working knowledge of the plasma arc and acetylene torch;
• Have the ability to produce hand and CAD drawings;
• Perform material takeoffs for all projects;
• Understand construction systems of metal and wooden structures with the ability to maintain them;
• Understand concrete forming and pouring and the ability to design forms;
• Have strong understanding of industrial electrical systems;
• Read topographical maps and understanding of grading practices;
• Establish a "cut" sheet (project cut and fill plan);
• Demonstrate familiarity with grading and trenching equipment and with corn and soybean processing equipment;
• Train and manage on site labor to work on various projects;
• Perform various types of repairs for all operating groups;
• Work within compliance of all OSHA and Safety standards.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field with at least five years of maintenance or construction management experience or High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of maintenance or construction management experience;
• Experience utilizing MS Office and Computer software;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
• Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize tasks;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills;
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field;
• At least ten years of agricultural research experience
• Broad knowledge of crop production and farming practices/equipment;
• Verbal bilingual ability in Ilocano/English and/or Tagalog/English;
• Prior field and equipment experience with corn and soybeans.
