Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values.  More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering or scientific/lab discipline; 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering/lab role;
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts within medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing;
  • Ability to handles multiple concurrent projects;
  • Understanding priorities of assigned tasks and planning of daily activities accordingly;
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to challenging and novel problems;
  • Basic knowledge of other technical disciplines (engineering, quality assurance, R&D, regulatory);  
  • Ability to apply tools and technologies to complex problems typically involving a multidisciplinary approach;
  • Demonstration of analytical capabilities including statistical analysis and problem solving techniques;
  • Ability  to apply relevant policies and procedures (P&P) based on regulations and industry standards;
  • Ability to present technical concepts to laypersons and management;


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing or quality experience;
  • Experience in Ethylene Oxide sterilization process development and validation;
  • Adoption of new products to existing processes;
  • Experience in Gamma / E-beam sterilization process development and validation;
  • Adoption of new products to existing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal direction, lead teams, and coordinate disparate groups to achieve project goals;
  • Demonstrated understanding of biocompatibility and/or
  • sterilization standards and regulatory requirements for medical devices;
  • Biocompatibility testing experience.
