Mission: To attract veteran talent and provide career advice and resources when transitioning from deployment to employment.

Six-Month Commitment
// Customized Orientation (One day)
// Professional Development (One development session on a monthly basis (6 in total). Sessions last 1-3 hours long depending on topic)

Customized Orientation
// Heroes at Bayer will provide a one-day orientation to kick off the program and build participant comradery. This orientation is designed specifically for Heroes at Bayer program members to introduce tools and review topics that will assist them in their transition from deployment to employment. Agenda topics can include overview of Bayer’s vision and future, Inclusion and Diversity, Deployment to Employment, Business Resource Group overview/introductions, Benefits overview, Veteran panel discussion, and other.
Professional Development
// Monthly 1–3-hour development sessions designed to understand and build on personal strengths and navigate through one’s career. Some examples of these sessions include DiSC Assessment, Strength Finders, Unconscious Bias Training, Building Business Acumen and Leadership Networking Hour.
Structured Mentorship
// Former service members are aware of the difficulties that can come from adjusting to a career outside of the military. Each program member will be paired with a Veteran mentor throughout the duration of the program to assist with their transition into the Bayer organization.
Expanded Networking Opportunity
// Heroes at Bayer will assist its program members in building their community and network through structured mentorship, networking opportunities with fellow program members, visibility with business leadership,opportunities to partner with BRAVE, and other. These connections will help to build the foundation for a successful civilian career.
